Panic Attacks

Symptoms of panic attack include some but not all of the following:
  • Palpitations, pounding heart or accelerated heart rate
  • Sweating
  • Trembling or shaking
  • Feeling as if you can’t catch your breath or hyperventilating
  • Feeling as if you are choking
  • Nausea or abdominal distress
  • Feeling dizzy, faint or lightheaded
  • Feeling as if your surroundings aren’t real, or feeling detached from your surroundings
  • Fear of losing control or going “crazy”
  • Fear that you are going to die
  • Having chills or hot flashes
  • Fear of having another panic attack
