Depression

Often one of the primary treatments for depression is medication.  However, many people do not want to take medication for depression, and medication certainly should not be mandatory.   But consider that medication can sometimes make a huge difference in how one feels.  Depression is often the result of a chemical imbalance.  I always ask people to see their physician and rule out organic causes, such a thyroid problem or something hormonal.  Depression can often times be purely situational as well, such as a miserable job, a bad home situation or a traumatic past, or the result of a single traumatic incident.

Sometimes depression is the result of anger that has not been appropriately expressed.  There are many, many reasons people become depressed.  Our job working together if you are depressed is to find the root cause, excavate it, and help you find a way to feel better.
